Membership

The following is our Acceptance Procedure, please read it carefully.  If you have any questions e-mail Catherine Nikiforow, our President.

1. Each applicant must own an English Cocker Spaniel.

2. Each prospective new member must have a proposer, who will write a short recommendation, and a second, to supply a signature on the application.

3. The proposer and second must be members in good standing who can attest to the applicant's character.

4. After the application is received by the secretary, she will publish the applicant's name in the newsletter, requesting any comments from the membership.

5. The secretary shall acknowledge the receipt of the application, sending the applicant a notice of this procedure and the lengthily time (3-12 months) it will take to process.  During this interim, the applicant will be put on the club mailing list and well be urged and encouraged to participate in club activities.

6. The Board of Directors will then make a final decision as to the applicant's disposition.

The proposer will mail this section of the application to the Secretary on completion of his/her short recommendation.  Please make note of the length of time you have known the applicant, as well as recommendation of his/her character.  All information will be strictly confidential.
